Privacy Policy
JamComments was created in part because other comment services collect too much user data. We only gather what’s absolutely necessary to run the service.
What We Collect
Section titled “What We Collect”If You Have a JamComments Account (Site Owner)
Section titled “If You Have a JamComments Account (Site Owner)”- Your website’s domain and any name you give it in the dashboard
- Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (handled by Laravel’s authentication system)
- Your subscription and billing information (processed by Stripe)
- Application settings you configure (like auto-approval preferences)
If You Leave a Comment (Commenter)
Section titled “If You Leave a Comment (Commenter)”- Your name (as you enter it in the comment form)
- Your email address (optional — only if you choose to provide it)
- The comment text you submit
- A Gravatar image (if your email has one associated)
We do NOT collect:
- IP addresses
- Browser information
- Tracking cookies
- Analytics data
- Social media profiles
Services We Use
Section titled “Services We Use”We use third-party services for specific functions:
- Stripe — Handles all payment processing and subscription management. We never see your full credit card details.
